Who might be able to join this trial:

• You must be between 18 and 65 years old
• You must be willing and able to give written consent to participate
• You must be covered by a social security or health insurance plan
• If you are a healthy volunteer (control group): You have no known genetic disease, no family history of Huntington's disease (HD), and your functional and movement scores fall within the normal range (confirm with trial site)
• If you carry the HD gene and have symptoms (manifest carrier): You have 40 or more CAG repeats, a disease activity score of 250 or above, your functional ability is still relatively preserved, your symptoms started after age 20, and your diagnosis has been confirmed (confirm with trial site)
• If you carry the HD gene but do not yet have symptoms (premanifest carrier): You have 40 or more CAG repeats, a disease activity score of 250 or above, and your functional and movement scores are within a specific range (confirm with trial site)
• You must be physically able to sign the consent form yourself

Who may not be able to join:

• People who are under legal guardianship or a court-appointed protection order
• People who have a neurological or psychiatric condition that is not related to HD
• People with another ongoing illness that could affect how they perform in the study
• People with another long-term, progressive brain or nerve condition
• People who have claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces, such as an MRI scanner)
• People who have had a brain injury unrelated to HD
• People with a pacemaker, implanted heart device, metal implants in or around the body, cochlear (ear) implants, neurostimulation devices, implanted drug pumps, or any other metal objects inside the body that could be unsafe during a brain scan (confirm with trial site)
• People with metal fragments in their body such as bullets or shrapnel, certain types of aneurysm clips in the brain, or magnetic dental implants (confirm with trial site)
• People with a known allergy or sensitivity to the radioactive tracer substance used in this study
• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who plan to become pregnant during the study
• People receiving state medical aid (confirm with trial site for local definition)
• People who are currently imprisoned or otherwise deprived of their freedom
• People who have taken part in another interventional clinical trial in the last 3 months, or who have ever participated in a trial involving neural transplants or gene therapy
• People who have received a radioactive tracer injection as part of a research study in the last 12 months
