Who may be able to join
- People who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (not an autoimmune type or a rare inherited form of diabetes).
- People whose average blood sugar level (HbA1c) is 7.0% or above and whose diabetes medications have been stable for a period of time.

Who may not be able to join

- People who currently take a medication called hydroxyurea, as it can interfere with the accuracy of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensors used in the trial.
- People who have a cognitive impairment or a severe psychiatric condition that could make it difficult to take part in a behaviour-based diabetes self-management program.
- People who currently have or have previously been diagnosed with an eating disorder.
