Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are 18 years old or older
• You are willing and able to give your consent to take part in the study
• You can read and speak English
• You are willing to follow the study's procedures throughout the trial

For the control group (no Huntington's disease), you also need to:

For experimental group 1 (Huntington's disease with low body weight), you also need to:

• Have a CAG repeat genetic test result between 40 and 59 (confirm with trial site)
• Have a confirmed diagnosis of Huntington's disease with very high certainty, based on a standard medical assessment tool called the UHDRS
• Be in an earlier to middle stage of Huntington's disease (Stage I, II, or III) based on how well you can carry out daily activities

For experimental group 2 (Huntington's disease with higher body weight), you also need to:

• Have a BMI over 25.0 (overweight or obese), or a BMI of 25.0 or below but with unexplained significant weight gain in the past 12 months
• Have a CAG repeat genetic test result between 40 and 59 (confirm with trial site)
• Have a confirmed diagnosis of Huntington's disease with very high certainty, based on the UHDRS assessment tool
• Be in an earlier to middle stage of Huntington's disease (Stage I, II, or III) based on daily functioning

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a CAG repeat result of 60 or higher, which is linked to a rare, early-onset form of Huntington's disease
• You have a CAG repeat result between 36 and 39, which is linked to a form of Huntington's disease with uncertain symptoms
• You are in a later stage of Huntington's disease (Stage 4 or beyond), which may involve needing a feeding tube
• You have taken certain medicines in the last 6 months, including antibiotics, antifungal or antiviral drugs, steroids, immune-suppressing drugs, chemotherapy, or high-dose probiotic supplements (over 100 million CFU) — everyday fermented foods like yogurt are not included in this restriction
• You have used antibiotic or steroid creams or ointments on your skin in the last 7 days
• You have an active or uncontrolled gut or digestive condition, such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, a persistent infection, or ongoing constipation or diarrhea
• You are currently unwell with an acute illness, with or without a fever, at the time samples are collected
• You have tested positive for HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C
• You have a confirmed or suspected condition that weakens your immune system
• You have had major surgery on your digestive system (not including gallbladder or appendix removal)
• Your diet has changed significantly in the past month, such as cutting out or greatly increasing a major food group
• You have a recent history of regularly drinking excessive amounts of alcohol
• You have travelled outside of the United States in the last 3 months
