Who may not be able to join

- People who have type 1 diabetes, gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy), secondary diabetes, or other specific types of diabetes

- People with blood pressure that is very difficult to control — either too high (top number at or above 200 mmHg or bottom number at or above 110 mmHg) or too low (top number at or below 90 mmHg or bottom number at or below 60 mmHg)
- People who have an active serious infection, severe anaemia, or a very low white blood cell count at the time of screening
- People with other serious illnesses, such as an active or untreated cancer, or a cancer that has been in remission for less than 5 years
- People with serious structural heart disease (such as congenital heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, or certain types of enlarged heart) with a heart function rating above Grade III (confirm with trial site)
- People who have had a heart bypass or angioplasty procedure, or a stroke (any type), within the past 6 months
- People with severely reduced liver or kidney function, based on specific blood test results (confirm with trial site)
- People with very high fasting triglyceride (a type of blood fat) levels above 5.6 mmol/L
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or women who are of childbearing age and not using effective contraception
- People currently taking part in any other clinical trial

- People with a history of mental illness who are unable to cooperate with the research team
