- People who are planning to join a weight loss program or have bariatric (weight loss) surgery during the trial.
- People who have serious long-term conditions that cause symptoms during physical activity — such as significant heart disease, severe lung disease, or severe joint problems — that could be made worse by exercise.
- People who are unable to have an MRI scan, for example due to claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces) or having certain implants or metal materials in their body that are not compatible with MRI.
- People who are pregnant.
