- People who have been diagnosed with active stomach or intestinal conditions (such as ulcers), thyroid problems, poorly controlled high blood pressure, active cancer that is not in remission, or other life-threatening illnesses.
- People who have used antibiotics, probiotics, or prebiotics in the past 3 weeks, or who need to use them long-term.
- People whose medications are not stable, or who are taking prescription medications that affect the body's metabolism (such as thyroid hormones or steroids like glucocorticoids).
- People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant.
- People who have a pacemaker or metal implants in their body, who experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces), or who have any other reason they cannot undergo an fMRI scan.
- People with a psychiatric condition that would make it difficult to cooperate with the study.
- People who are unlikely to be able to follow the trial requirements reliably.
- People who are currently participating in another clinical trial, or who have participated in one within the past 4 weeks.
