Who may be able to join

  • People who have signed the written consent form for the study.
  • People aged 18 or older, of any gender.
  • People with a life expectancy of at least 12 weeks.
  • People with a good general level of physical functioning, as measured by a standard oncology scale (ECOG score of 0 or 1), meaning they are fully active or have only minor restrictions on activity.
  • People who have been diagnosed with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer, ovarian cancer, or other advanced solid tumours (confirmed by laboratory testing of tissue samples), where the cancer has continued to grow and all standard treatment options have been tried.
  • People who are willing to provide a tumour tissue sample (either fresh or previously stored) or a blood sample, so that the trial can test for certain gene mutations (such as BRCA) or related changes using a type of genetic testing called next generation sequencing.
  • People who have at least one tumour that can be measured using standard imaging criteria (RECIST v1.1).
  • People who do not have serious blood, heart, lung, liver, or kidney conditions beyond their primary cancer diagnosis.
  • People with adequate organ function and bone marrow function (confirm with trial site for specific values).

Who may not be able to join

Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.

  • People who have previously used or are currently using a type of drug called a PARG inhibitor.
  • People with a known serious allergy to the study drug or any of its ingredients.
  • People who have had another cancer in the past, unless it was fully treated and there has been no sign of it returning or spreading for at least the past 5 years.
  • People who have cancer that has spread to the brain or the membranes surrounding the brain or spinal cord, and where this is causing symptoms or has not been well controlled.
  • People who have, or show signs of having, a blood disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) or acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).
  • People who have difficulty swallowing, persistent nausea and vomiting, problems absorbing food or medication, or certain bowel conditions (such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or short bowel syndrome) that could affect how the body absorbs the study drug.
  • People who have recently taken another anti-cancer medicine and have not waited the required time since their last dose (either 5 half-lives of that drug or 2 weeks, whichever is shorter).
  • People who have used, or need to use during the study, certain medications that strongly affect how the body processes drugs through a liver enzyme system known as CYP3A4/BCRP/P-gp (confirm with trial site for the specific list of affected medications).
  • People who have a history of, or currently have, a non-infectious lung condition called pneumonitis or interstitial lung disease that required steroid treatment.
  • People with serious overall health conditions, significant abnormal laboratory results, or other circumstances that the trial investigator considers would make participation unsafe or unsuitable.
