  • People who have been diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson's disease (a form of Parkinson's with no known cause) for at least 5 years.
  • People whose Parkinson's medication has remained the same for at least 4 weeks.

Who may not be able to join

  • People who are currently receiving advanced Parkinson's treatments, such as deep brain stimulation or medication delivered through an infusion pump.
  • People who are unable to walk at least 5 metres on their own without the help of a walking aid.
  • People with a history of substance abuse.
  • People who have visual, orthopaedic (bone or joint), or other health conditions that could make it difficult to carry out the trial's activities.
  • People who have a history of other neurological (brain or nervous system) conditions, apart from Parkinson's disease.
