- People who are unable to understand instructions or complete the required tasks, based on a score below 24 on a standard memory and thinking assessment (the Mini-Mental State Examination).
- People who do not wish to take part in the study.
- People whose Parkinson's disease is at stage I, IV, or V on the Hoehn and Yahr Scale.
