Who may be able to join
- People with Type 2 diabetes who are between 18 and 80 years old, able to give their informed consent to participate, diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes for more than 6 months, and whose diabetes medications have been stable for more than 6 months.
- Healthy individuals (without diabetes) who are between 18 and 80 years old and able to give their informed consent to participate.

- People with Type 2 diabetes who have Type 1 diabetes, symptomatic coronary artery disease, a heart attack or stroke in the past year, uncontrolled high blood pressure (above 160/90 mmHg), heart failure, kidney problems, current or recent tobacco use (within the last 6 months), use of hormone replacement therapy, a diagnosed neuromuscular disorder, or who are pregnant.
- Healthy individuals who have any of the conditions listed above for people with Type 2 diabetes, or who have Type 2 diabetes itself.
