Who may be able to join
- People who are 18 years of age or older.
- People who have been diagnosed through laboratory testing with advanced ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer — note that mucinous carcinoma and low-grade serous carcinoma types are not eligible.
- People who have at least one tumour or lesion that is large enough to be measured using standard imaging, specifically at least 2 cm on a chest x-ray, or at least 1 cm on a CT scan, MRI, or physical examination.
- People who are able to give written informed consent before any study procedures begin, and who are able to follow all study requirements in the opinion of the study doctor.
- People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities falls within a standard medical rating scale of 0 to 2 (meaning they may be fully active or limited in strenuous activity but able to carry out light work or self-care).
- People whose blood test results at screening show the body's organs are functioning adequately, including acceptable levels of white blood cells, platelets, haemoglobin, liver markers, kidney function, and protein in the blood (confirm specific values with trial site).
- People who have waited at least 4 weeks since their last biological or immunotherapy treatment, and at least 2 weeks since their last chemotherapy or targeted therapy, before the first day of the study treatment.
- People whose ovarian cancer has come back within 6 months of finishing a platinum-based chemotherapy, or whose cancer progressed during or within 3 months of completing their first course of platinum-based treatment.
- People who have received no more than 4 prior treatment courses for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer (maintenance treatments with bevacizumab or PARP inhibitors do not count toward this number).
- People who have already received bevacizumab, mirvetuximab, or a PARP inhibitor if those treatments were considered appropriate for them, or whose records clearly document why those treatments were not given or were declined.
Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People who still have side effects from previous cancer treatment that have not improved to a mild level, with the exception of hair loss.
- People with brain or central nervous system spread of their cancer that is causing symptoms, or that has required steroid medication or has not been stable for at least the past 4 weeks.
- People with serious ongoing health conditions affecting the heart or lungs — such as heart failure, symptomatic coronary artery disease, poorly controlled heart rhythm problems, or a heart attack in the past 3 months — that the study doctor considers incompatible with the study.
- People with significantly impaired heart function or other clinically important heart disease.
- People with an active infection currently being treated, or a known history of Hepatitis B surface antigen or Hepatitis C antibody with detected Hepatitis C virus.
- People who have received a live vaccine within 30 days before the planned start of study treatment, or who would need a live vaccine during the study.
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- People who have had a severe allergic reaction, including anaphylaxis, or other serious hypersensitivity reaction to paclitaxel (a chemotherapy drug).
- People who have moderate nerve damage (Grade 2 peripheral neuropathy) affecting their hands or feet at the start of the study.
- People who currently have high blood pressure or any other condition being managed with blood pressure medications, including ACE inhibitors, ARBs, calcium channel blockers, diuretics, or any other blood pressure-lowering drug.
- People who have a history of dizziness upon standing (orthostasis) or fainting (syncope).
- People who have a history of allergic reaction, intolerance, or sensitivity to ACE inhibitors or ARB medications.
- People whose blood pressure readings on two separate days before enrolment show a systolic (top number) reading of 95 or below, or a diastolic (bottom number) reading of 60 or below.
- People whose blood pressure readings on two separate days before enrolment show a systolic reading of 180 or above, or a diastolic reading of 110 or above, indicating uncontrolled high blood pressure.
- People with any serious or unstable ongoing health condition considered incompatible with trial participation, such as substance use disorder, psychiatric disturbance, uncontrolled illness, arterial blood clots, or symptomatic pulmonary embolism.
- People with any other condition that, in the study doctor's opinion, would increase the risks of participating or make it difficult to interpret the study results.
