Who may be able to join

  • People aged between 30 and 80 years old (inclusive).
  • People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease of unknown cause (idiopathic PD), based on a specific set of diagnostic guidelines, within the last 3 years.

Who may not be able to join

  • People who have certain serious health conditions, including kidney failure (uremia), severe liver scarring (cirrhosis), heart failure with fluid in the lungs, blood clotting disorders, epilepsy, alcohol dependency, or drug misuse (confirm with trial site for the full list).
  • People considered unsuitable for the trial by the lead researcher overseeing the study.
