- People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease using the Movement Disorder Society's recognised diagnostic criteria.
- People who are between 50 and 70 years of age.
- People whose Parkinson's disease was diagnosed 5 years ago or less.
- People whose Parkinson's disease is at a mild-to-moderate stage (Hoehn and Yahr stage I–III) when their symptoms are well-controlled.
- People who have sleep problems that meet a recognised medical definition of insomnia and score at or above 18 points on a standard Parkinson's-specific sleep questionnaire (PDSS-2).
- People who have been on a stable dose of their Parkinson's medications for at least 4 weeks before joining, with no dose changes expected during the study.

Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People whose sleep problems are caused by another serious medical condition, such as uncontrolled heart, lung, liver, kidney, or hormonal disorders.
- People who are currently experiencing psychotic symptoms, or who have severe anxiety or depression based on recognised rating scales.
- People who have another significant sleep disorder — such as moderate-to-severe sleep apnoea, restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder, or REM sleep behaviour disorder — that requires its own treatment.
- People who have a history of significant stroke-related disease, brain tumour, brain infection, or other neurological conditions that could affect sleep or study results.
- People for whom the study's arm-cuff procedure (called remote ischemic conditioning) would be unsafe — for example, due to severe circulation problems in the arms, a skin infection or injury where the cuff would be placed, a blood clot in the subclavian artery, severely uncontrolled high blood pressure, serious heart disease, active bleeding disorders, or any other condition the investigator considers unsafe.
- People who cannot have an MRI or EEG scan — for example, due to a pacemaker, severe claustrophobia, or metal implants that are not compatible with MRI.
- People who have taken part in another interventional clinical trial within the past 3 months.
- People who, in the investigator's judgement, would be unlikely to follow the study procedures or attend the required follow-up visits.
