Who may be able to join

  • People who are able to sign a written consent form before any trial-related procedures begin.
  • People who are female and aged 18 or older.
  • People who have been diagnosed with epithelial ovarian cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, or fallopian tube cancer (confirmed by tissue testing), and whose cancer has come back within 6 months of their last platinum-based chemotherapy treatment (known as platinum-resistant cancer).
  • People who have received at least one but no more than three prior courses of treatment for their cancer overall, which may have included the drugs bevacizumab and/or PARP inhibitors.
  • People who have cancer that has spread to the brain, but only if those brain metastases are not causing symptoms, or if symptoms are stable and well-controlled.
  • People who are generally well enough to carry out light activity and care for themselves (as measured by a standard medical scale scoring 0 or 1).
  • People whose doctors expect them to live for more than 6 months.
  • People whose blood test results show that their bone marrow, liver, and kidneys are functioning adequately, specifically:
    • White blood cell levels (neutrophils) are high enough without needing growth factor injections in the past 14 days.
    • Platelet levels are high enough without having had a blood transfusion in the past 14 days.
    • Haemoglobin levels are high enough without having had a blood transfusion or red blood cell boosting medication in the past 14 days.
    • Liver function test results (bilirubin, AST, and ALT) are within acceptable ranges.
    • Kidney function results (creatinine levels and clearance rate) are within acceptable ranges.
    • Blood clotting function is within an acceptable range.
  • People whose thyroid hormone levels are within the normal range, or whose additional thyroid tests come back normal even if the initial thyroid test result is slightly outside the normal range.
  • People whose heart enzyme blood test results are within the normal range, or who have minor abnormalities that the doctor considers clinically unimportant.
  • People who are women of childbearing potential and have a negative pregnancy test (urine or blood) within 3 days before the first dose of the study drug.
  • People who are women with the potential to become pregnant and who agree to use effective medical contraception from the time of signing consent until 6 months after the last dose of the study drug.

Who may not be able to join

Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.

  • People who have been diagnosed with another cancer within the past 5 years, except for certain skin cancers or pre-cancerous conditions that have been fully removed and treated.
  • People who have signs of active bleeding in a tumour or lesion, as shown by an internal camera examination (endoscopy).
  • People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial, or who have received another experimental drug or device within the 4 weeks before the first dose.
  • People who have previously been treated with certain targeted antibody-drug treatments, specifically those that target a protein called FR-α, or any treatment targeting TROP2 (including any drug containing a topoisomerase I–blocking agent, such as certain antibody-drug conjugates).
  • People who have received certain Chinese herbal or patent medicines with anti-cancer claims, or drugs designed to affect the immune system (such as thymosin, interferon, or interleukin, except when used locally to control fluid around the lungs) within 2 weeks before the first dose.
  • People who have had an active autoimmune disease requiring systemic medical treatment (such as immune-suppressing or steroid medications) within the past 2 years — not including hormone replacement therapies for conditions such as thyroid disease, diabetes, or adrenal insufficiency.
  • People who have received steroid tablets or injections (not including nasal sprays, inhalers, or skin creams) within 7 days before the first dose, unless the dose is very low (equivalent to 10 mg or less of prednisone per day).
  • People who have had an organ transplant from another person (except cornea transplants), or a bone marrow or stem cell transplant from another person.
  • People who are known to have a serious allergy to any of the drugs used in this study.
  • People who have not yet recovered from side effects or complications of previous treatments (side effects must have reduced to mild or returned to their normal baseline level before the trial starts — ongoing tiredness or hair loss are exceptions).
  • People who have a known history of HIV infection (positive HIV antibody test).
  • People who have untreated, active hepatitis B infection with a high level of the virus detected in the blood — though people with hepatitis B who meet certain specific viral load criteria and are willing to take anti-hepatitis B medication throughout the study may still be considered (confirm with trial site).
  • People who have active hepatitis C infection (positive antibody test with detectable virus in the blood).
  • People who have received a live vaccine within 30 days before the first dose — injected inactivated flu vaccines are permitted, but nasal spray flu vaccines (which contain live virus) are not.
  • People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
  • People with serious or uncontrolled conditions affecting the heart, including significant abnormal heart rhythms on an ECG, unstable chest pain, heart failure (moderate or severe), or a heart attack, stroke, or similar event within the past 6 months.
  • People with poorly controlled high blood pressure (above 140/90 mmHg).
  • People who have had lung inflammation (not caused by infection) requiring steroid treatment within the past year, or who currently have active lung inflammation or scarring.
  • People with active tuberculosis of the lungs.
  • People who have an active infection currently requiring treatment with systemic medications.
  • People with active bowel conditions such as diverticulitis, an abdominal abscess, or a bowel blockage.
  • People with serious liver disease, including liver cirrhosis, liver failure, or active hepatitis.
  • People with poorly controlled diabetes (high fasting blood sugar levels above a set threshold).
  • People with significant levels of protein in their urine, confirmed by a 24-hour urine test showing more than 1.0 g of protein.
  • People with a mental health condition that would prevent them from cooperating with treatment.
  • People who need to take certain strong medications that significantly interact with a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, within 2 weeks before or during the study — including certain drugs, herbal supplements, or foods known to affect this enzyme.
  • People with a documented history of severe dry eye, severe eyelid gland disease or inflammation, or a corneal condition that affects the eye's ability to heal.
  • People with a history of non-infectious lung inflammation or scarring that required steroid treatment, who currently have this condition, or in whom such a condition cannot be ruled out based on scans done during screening.
  • People with any other medical history, condition, treatment, or abnormal test result that the trial doctor considers would interfere with the study results or make participation unsafe (confirm with trial site).
