Who may be able to join
- Women between 18 and 75 years of age.
- People who have been diagnosed through a tissue sample (from surgery or biopsy) with a specific type of ovarian, abdominal lining, or fallopian tube cancer that is at an advanced stage (Stage III or IV).
- People who have at least one area of cancer that can be measured on a CT or MRI scan, and who also meet at least one of the following conditions: the cancer could not be fully removed by surgery, OR there are factors that suggest surgery may not be safe for them (such as being 75 or older, having a BMI of 40 or higher, having ongoing health conditions, being malnourished or having low protein levels in the blood, having a moderate to large amount of fluid in the abdomen, having a recent blood clot diagnosis, or having a low physical functioning score).
- People whose cancer tissue and blood show high activity of a gene called PARK2, measured by a specific scoring method on the tumour tissue (confirm with trial site).
- People who are expected to live for more than 12 weeks.
- People with a physical functioning score (ECOG) of 0, 1, or 2, meaning they are able to carry out daily activities with little to no limitation.
- People whose bone marrow, liver, and kidneys are working well enough to meet specific blood test thresholds set by the trial (confirm with trial site for exact values).
- Women who could potentially become pregnant must have a negative pregnancy test within one week before joining the trial, agree to use effective non-hormonal contraception (such as a barrier method or intrauterine device) during the study, and must not be currently breastfeeding.
- People who have recovered from most side effects of previous chemotherapy, with any remaining effects being mild (Grade 1 or lower), except for stable nerve-related symptoms or hair loss, which may be up to Grade 2.
- People who are willing to provide tissue and blood samples during the treatment period.
- People who are able to understand and follow the study requirements, including keeping to the treatment schedule, attending required tests and scans, taking part in follow-up appointments, and completing quality of life questionnaires.
