Who may be able to join
- People who have been diagnosed with high-grade serous or endometrioid epithelial ovarian cancer (including fallopian tube, ovarian, or primary peritoneal cancer), confirmed by tissue testing.
- People whose cancer is considered "platinum-sensitive," meaning the cancer did not come back or get worse until at least 6 months after their last platinum-based chemotherapy.
- People whose cancer got worse while they were taking a PARP inhibitor as a first-line maintenance treatment for advanced ovarian cancer, with no other cancer treatments received between that point and joining the trial.
- People whose cancer has a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation (in the blood or tumour), or whose cancer tested positive for homologous recombination deficiency (a type of DNA repair problem) — (confirm with trial site).
- People whose cancer can be measured or tracked using standard imaging criteria.
- People who have had brain metastases (cancer that spread to the brain) that were previously treated, as long as a brain scan taken at least 4 weeks after treatment shows the cancer there is stable and not growing, and steroids are no longer needed.
- People aged 18 or older.
- People with a general health and activity level rated at 0, 1, or 2 on the ECOG scale, meaning they are able to carry out some or all daily activities (confirm with trial site).
- People who are not currently pregnant and not breastfeeding.
- People whose blood counts and organ function meet the required levels, including: white blood cell count, platelet count, haemoglobin, kidney function, liver function, and urine protein levels within the ranges required by the trial.
- People with a known liver condition called Gilbert's disease may still be eligible if their bilirubin level is within a specific range (confirm with trial site).
- People with a history of heart disease or prior treatment with heart-affecting therapies, provided a heart function assessment places them in New York Heart Association class 2B or better (confirm with trial site).
- People who have recovered from most side effects of prior cancer treatment, with certain exceptions allowed: grade 2 or lower nerve problems, any level of hair loss, well-controlled high blood pressure, thyroid conditions controlled with medication, and a history of blood clots currently managed with blood thinners.
- People who have had major surgery must have fully recovered from any complications before starting the trial.
