Who may be able to join

  • People aged between 18 and 75 years old (inclusive).
  • People who have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.

  • People currently being treated with a type of diabetes medication called a thiazolidinedione (TZD) or a GLP-1 receptor agonist (such as medications like semaglutide or dulaglutide).
  • People who have previously been treated with a drug called Chiglitazar Sodium.
  • People who have serious life-threatening other health conditions, severe swelling (fluid retention), or severe liver disease (confirm with trial site).
  • People whose blood test results show liver enzyme levels (AST or ALT) more than five times higher than the normal range, or whose kidneys are working at a significantly reduced level (confirm with trial site).
