Who may be able to join
- Adults over 18 years of age
- People who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease at an early-to-moderate stage, with a higher-than-normal amount of protein (albumin) in their urine

- Women who drink more than 14 units of alcohol per week, or men who drink more than 21 units of alcohol per week
- People who currently have an active cancer diagnosis
- People who have previously had bariatric (weight loss) surgery or any other surgical weight loss procedure
- People who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder, such as bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa, or binge-eating disorder
- People whose HbA1c (a measure of long-term blood sugar levels) is above 9% at the initial screening visit
- People who are not motivated or are unable to follow a specific diet as required by the trial
- People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial
