- People who have a personal history, or a close family member (parent, sibling, or child) with a history, of a specific type of thyroid cancer (medullary thyroid carcinoma) or a condition called multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2.
- People who have ever had chronic or acute pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) at any point before screening.
- People who, in the opinion of the trial investigator, have a significant uncontrolled hormonal condition, such as a thyroid or adrenal crisis.
- People who have had an active or untreated cancer, or who have been in remission from a significant cancer for less than 5 years.
- People who have had their gallbladder surgically removed.
- People who have been classified as having the most severe level (Class IV) of heart failure according to a standard medical rating scale.
