Who may be able to join
- A signed consent form must be completed before any study-related activities begin.
- The decision to start treatment with the insulin icodec must have been made by the person (or their legal representative) and their treating doctor, separately from and before any decision about joining this study.
- People who are male or female, aged 18 years or older at the time of signing the consent form.
- People who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 1 year before signing the consent form.
- People who have been treated with once- or twice-daily long-acting insulin injections for at least 6 months before signing the consent form — other diabetes medications are allowed, except for fast-acting mealtime insulin used for 14 days or more in the 90 days before switching to icodec.
- People who have had an HbA1c blood sugar test result available from within the 90 days before the first study visit, or who have one taken at the time of that first visit if that fits with local medical practice (HbA1c is a blood test that shows average blood sugar levels over the past few months).
- People who have not previously used a once-weekly insulin before the first study visit.
