Who may be able to join

  • People with an active cancer diagnosis, except for certain minor skin cancers (basal cell carcinoma or early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the skin)
  • People who currently smoke or use tobacco or nicotine products
  • People currently taking prescription medication for weight loss
  • People whose body weight has changed by more than 10% in the past 6 months
  • People who already do more than 150 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous physical activity or exercise
  • People who have taken part in another research study or medical procedure involving significant radiation exposure in the past 12 months
  • People who experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
  • People who have metal implants in their body that are not safe for use in an MRI machine
