  • People with a BMI (body mass index) above 40.
  • People who currently smoke, or who stopped smoking within the last 3 months.
  • People who are unable to understand or fully cooperate with the study procedures.
  • People with any serious medical condition that could affect safety or make the results harder to interpret.
  • People with open wounds.
  • People with skin ulcers that could interfere with data collection, interpretation, or safety.
  • People with eczema that could interfere with data collection, interpretation, or safety.
  • People with an existing condition where blood pressure drops when standing up (postural hypotension).
  • People with existing heart disease, identified during the screening process.
  • People who have recently spent repeated time in hot environments (3 or more sessions in the last 14–21 days), meaning they may already be heat-adapted.
  • People who have previously experienced a heat-related illness.
