Who may be able to join

  • People who are currently taking antidepressant medications
  • People who have a medical reason that makes a specific ear-based nerve stimulation treatment (called transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation, or taVNS) unsuitable for them (confirm with trial site)
  • People who have received a type of nerve stimulation therapy called vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) within the past month
  • People who have serious conditions affecting the brain, kidneys, heart, or liver in addition to their Parkinson's disease
